Township Slights Storm Sewers

Hey Kincheloe Residents! Are your streets flooded too? Be sure to call Jason and Marvin and thank them for doing such a great job!

Well Marvin and the boys did it again. Dan Mitchell presented a plan to take over the Kinross Water District storm sewer system and put it under the Townships DPW department and finally get something done about our flooded streets but Marvin, Ed, Jason, and Herb voted against it even though they all seemed to agree it needed to get done. WHY? Is it because they do not live in Kincheloe and don't care what happens here? Is it because it was not their idea? Is it because it made too much sense? WHY? Dan Mitchell: On the agenda for the Apr 21 Township Board meeting is the Storm Drains. I will be recommending that the Township declare ownership of the storm sewers in the Kincheloe water district. That the maintenance responsibility be placed under the Kinross DPW. Create a line item in the Kinross DPW budget for storm sewer capitol improvements or maintenance and finally start discussions on how to pay for the needed work. Obviously that would include any available grants.
