This page is dedicated to Buddy, who taught me the meaning of unconditional love.

Buddy Brinker, a Irish Deer Hound, rescued, near death from starvation and abuse,  by the Chippewa Animal Shelter in 2001.

Buddy stole my heart from the first time I met him.  His kind eyes and vocal character made him seem human.  Every vertebrae and bone was visible under thin lifeless hair.  He stood proudly and looked me deeply in the eye.   I loved him from the start. I will never forget what he taught me and he will never leave my heart.

This picture is of Buddy and his little friend Beanie.  In the back ground is Sport also rescued from the same place. I believe he is Buddy's son.  Sport and Beanie are still with us.

A Poem For All the wonderful Buddy's

God looked around his garden and saw an empty place.

Then he look upon  the earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

Gods garden must be beautiful he only takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering  He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never get  well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough and the hills  were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone

because part of us went with you  the day God called you home.

Buddy My Buddy!!

Nothing makes us happier then helping a cat or dog feel better.
We don't care what they look like or in what condition they're in,
if we can make one breath easier Please let us provide them that service.
If they need gentle loving care, bring them to The Pet Parlor.
